Nokia X - a combination of Windows Phone and Android

The first Android phone from Nokia has officially introduced. With the appeal of each phone manufacturers lead the world, the Android operating system and special relationship with Microsoft, a lot of people are curious about the Nokia X experience that brings.

Here are the views from TheVerge.

It's not a device that the Finnish phone company has brought to three the MWC 2014 Nokia X running Android. Rumors appeared on models from 12/2013 but many people are skeptical especially when Nokia bought by Microsoft. XL equipped with Nokia's largest display, 5 inches, with price 150 USD Nokia X and X + also owns 4 inch screen with price and $ 122 respectively 136 USD. This is not a competitor of Samsung Galaxy S5 unveiled Apple iPhone 5S or equipment not owned by configuration cult, high-end features. Nokia X attracted special attention because it is the first Android device from Nokia.

Nokia ever signed a cooperation agreement with Microsoft about using Windows Phone OS but this did not stop the carrier testing Android operating system accounted for the largest market share today. Unlike most Android devices, Nokia X uses a completely new interface similar to Amazon did with the Kindle Fire but still take advantage of the services and bring Android ecosystem. Specifically, Nokia X interface of Windows Phone slightly bring with simple square but a lot will run Android applications, something that Windows Phone is lacking. Nokia X is not authorized to access Google Play app store and install software such as Google's Gmail, the Chrome browser, maps ... However, we have also created a separate app store for third-party registration download.

Nokia X shares many design templates on the Lumia 520 running Windows Phone operating system. Both seasoned design with striking colors and jointly own 4-inch screen. Nokia also equipped with a modest configuration for the first Android phone with its dual core processor speed of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of internal memory and a 3 megapixel camera. Nokia X + has high memory capacity and more. Nokia Android devices support 2 SIM and in appearance, it is little more than the Lumia 520 omitted three capacitive touch key and camera key. With Nokia XL, the difference was clear when the machine is equipped with 5-inch screen, 5 megapixel main camera with autofocus and 2 megapixel camera.

Regarding software, just feeling strange experience but also "a bit confusing." hard keys allow navigation only click once to go back and keep to the main screen. Nokia has created Android devices that interface with the same squares on Windows Phone. All installed applications will be displayed instead of being arranged in each folder. However, users can change the size of this square. Nokia also customize notifications when items using features from Fastlane brought to Asha line. Fastlane will gather all user activity recently in a single interface.

Nokia X experience that brings different from what firms do with another Windows Phone device, including cheap line. The Verge says, users will feel "frustrating, slow interface response and have a long wait." These heavy applications like web browsing will "challenge your patience." The third-party applications such as Facebook are no different than the version on Android and efficiency is also quite bad. The only unique navigation keys on the Nokia X quite confusing when Android needs three buttons and the Windows Phone as well. Users will need more time to get used to new users.

One of the reasons why Nokia X high performance is not due to hardware fitted quite low compared with the current Android devices. There is a similar configuration but Nokia Lumia 520 X running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean was released from 10/2012 and this is not the OS is optimized for low profile devices. If you are using Android 4.4 KitKat, experience can be better than the new version uses less memory than 16% of Jelly Bean. The old Android users also pointed out that Nokia has cherished and Nokia X testing for quite some time.

The question many people ask is why re-launched Nokia X series running Android? The company said, X is designed to combine the flexibility of services, applications, features of Android, Microsoft and Nokia. The launch of Android phones seem to not be prevented from Microsoft even after acquisition by these devices will help users access to its online services as OneDrive, Outlook, Skype and MixRadio, Here the map. Nokia X will install the application on the factory immediately, Bing also become the default search service. Clearly, Google is developing a strong ecosystem through its online Android and here is how to do the same.

Nokia X was announced less than a day after Microsoft unveiled updates will appear on Windows Phone 8.1 which the company said will be compatible with the low-profile design. Windows Phone behind Android but Microsoft is trying to make a difference. What Nokia X shows you this is just a test project with the efforts of a group of engineers. This happened when Nokia launches N9 device then no successor yet. Nokia X also have to build its own app store and make sure the new software would appear difficult at the same time as on Google Play.

At the press conference, curator of the PC, phone and tablet Microsft, Joe Belfiore said: "We are excited that Nokia has made some but some do not," when asked about Nokia X was released. There will be much to talk about but the project launched Nokia X phones running its Android actually is only a test.

Nokia X 3 Part 4 run regular Android app

Not long after the debut of X running Android, Nokia also launched the Nokia software development tools X Platform SDK for developers. On the download page, the Finnish phone company said 75% of Android apps can now run immediately on Nokia X / + X / XL.

25% are not compatible due to use of Google services to push notifications, maps and pay the application (in-app purchase). These applications will be connected with Nokia's own service to switch (port) to be compatible with the Nokia X. According to Nokia, this transition will cause the programmer takes about 8 hours.

Nokia has provided tools on site SDK trial, allows developers to check their APK files to run on Nokia X or not. Nokia X platform based on the Android Open Source Project AOSP 4.1.2 and application programming interface API reserved for paid features in the application, maps and Nokia Notifications HERE. Nokia stated that the devices Nokia X direction to the growing market for high-speed, where a smartphone device can be connected to the Internet first customer ever owned.

In these markets, bank cards are still popular, while Nokia still need the income from the business application. Payment methods in applications accounted for 90% of revenue from business applications, thus offering solutions that Nokia is paying through the network. The payment system through the network of Nokia Store works with 160 operators in 60 countries and has been proved stable over ordinary telephone lines of Nokia.

Thus, customers can pay for apps and content comes without bank cards. Nokia will split the revenue 70/30 for the developer, not charging from the network. The programmer can also put the trial version of the application on the Nokia Store.

It looks like Nokia has calculated quite carefully with Nokia X platform, combining the experience of both Windows Phone and Google to provide services to a cheap phone attractive. Expansion opportunities Asha series and Nokia is not much to understand that the transition to Android, but Microsoft does not take offense and is not dependent on Google is the best thing to do.

With most of the smartphones on the market possess quite similar configuration as today, a manufacturer needs certain elements to their smartphones to make a difference. These include names like LG G Flex, Samsung Galaxy Round with curved screen. However, the screen on this device is identical to the screen "contortionist" who appeared in the earlier technology exhibition.

Some other devices, such as Galaxy Note 3, is included with the stylus pen that allows users to draw, notes, very convenient. Here are 5 smartphone owners the most unique feature on the market today:

1. iPhone 5S

4. Nokia Lumia 1020

Luia 1020 is the worst camera phone on the market today. The Nokia launched and successfully integrated 41 megapixel sensor with Carl Zeiss lens on a fragile product like Lumia expressed in 1020 constant creation of this company. However, in addition to the ultimate shooting experience, the only property Lumia 1020 midrange configuration, with dual-core and 4.5 inch screen.Windows Phone 8 platform has not received great trust is a weakness of the Lumia 1020. You will have to spend 15 million to own a genuine Lumia 1020 at this time.
